Is there a free version?
No free tier. There’s a 5-day trial of a limited version that runs online in your CommuCod3 portal — after that it’s a simple monthly fee per seat.
Do I download the app during the trial?
No. The trial is browser-only, inside your portal account. The downloadable, local-first desktop app is unlocked when you subscribe to a paid seat.
Does my tender data leave my machine?
No. Estimat3 is local-first — scanning, measuring and pricing all run on your device. Nothing is uploaded unless you explicitly choose the cloud/team tier.
Is it only for electrical / construction?
No. The same engine prices any scope-based work — electrical, data-centre, civil, cleaning, legal, aeronautical. The cable example is just where it was first validated.
What can it read?
PDF and CAD (DXF) drawings, IFC/BIM models, Excel/CSV, and ITT documents. It captures pages, tables, plans and colour-coded schedules.
Do I have to trust the numbers blindly?
Never. Every quantity, rate and line is editable, and the redraw/schedule reads are shown for you to confirm before pricing.
